According to the Shiva Purana, Lord Shiva danced on Mount Kailash during twilight on this day to delight the Devas, who gathered to praise him. Fasting and performing worship during these hours is believed to dissolve negative karma, release devotees from debts, and bring absolute peace and prosperity.
